NGL is a popular acronym among Gen Z that means ‘I will not lie’. The NGL app allows you to ask questions anonymously without fear of being caught.
The app invites users to ask questions and answer anonymous questions and comments from their followers on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or elsewhere. The app’s website, NGL, explains.

To create an account with NGL, download the app by clicking the button above. Install the app requesting your Instagram handle. Enter your Instagram username and tap “Done”.
When you enter the app, there are two tabs called Play and Inbox. In the “Playback” tab, select the message you want to share with your NGL link. Tap the dice to choose from preset messages like “Send me an anonymous message!” Or “Send me an anonymous compliment”.
All responses are recorded in the NGL app’s inbox. Every time you receive a message, you’ll see a love letter emoji. Click the emoticon to open the message. You will then see two options: “From” or “Reply”.
You can select “Who Sent This” only if you subscribe to become a Pro member of NGL for $9.99/week. A premium subscription to NGL Pro Subscriptions provides insight into who asked or posted questions.
Just go to the Play tab and hit the button that says Copy Link. Then tap the button labelled Share and you will be redirected to Instagram. Then tap the button and choose a link.
Now paste the link into the URL field and then place the link in your story. Keep in mind that messages will be lost if you delete your account or uninstall the app from your phone.
