The Jodel app gives you access to social networks in Germany and lets you know in real time what’s happening in your area or neighbourhood. It assumes that many other people are also using the same apps and social networks.
Because of this, the app is location-based and focuses on “instant engagement”. There are no public profiles and people are anonymous. Not for anonymity, but so that you can quickly interact with people.
Jodel the anonymous Social Network
The Jodel app allows you to interact with people, ask questions, and learn more about what’s going on around you. Users can share news, information about local events, and jokes delivered to all users who can immediately engage with your posts.
When posting messages to Jodel, you can attach a picture if you wish, but it is not required or common. Other users can reply to or rate your messages.
Each post or message is framed in different colour and everything is just a tap away. If you would like to receive a call, press Message. If you’d like to rate it, tap the arrow. Tap the dot to report it.
And it’s different from other big networks like Facebook Lite that differentiate between public and private profiles. With Jodel, you can truly connect with new people, an experience that was taken away to make money.
