Using Google Contacts for quick lookups

The redesigned app makes it easier to browse your contacts. Easily label contacts to group people into sets. Star your favorite contacts and the app will provide you with an auto-generated list of the people you contact most often. They are listed below the displayed contact list.

Also, you don’t have to worry about contacts that have multiple entries and are not merged. Google Contacts will automatically find and suggest merges for you. This will remove a lot of the clutter and leave you with a neat and ordered contact list.

Google Contacts also displays more information about your contacts through the details that contacts have added about themselves to Google Contacts and the Google+ network. Google can import your contacts’ photos, colleges and hometowns. However, it depends on whether you make these details available for public viewing.

When a contact changes their email and shares the new address on their profile. It is automatically updated in your address book. And the Directory feature allows you to sync your contacts with your co-workers. You can add all of your company’s important contacts and their information to one central list. This way, anyone with a work email address can automatically see each other’s official details.
